I found this picture of Penguin, from John Welsford. I like this design! She looks salty and roomy too. Makes me want to look for a bigger place to build.

Thanks Garland, The boat is "Little Wing" , very nicely built by Greg Pullen who lives on the river above Hobart, Tasmania.

Definitely on my very short list titled: "Trailer friendly near shore cruisers to lust after."

And now it has a yawl rig option, like that on the Navigator and Pathfinder boats. What more could a guy want? ;) :D
Hmnnnn?.....21 feet. Right now, I have access to a huge warehouse. But her days are probably numbered, since it is for sale. We use it to repair our big fours and eights (just finished a 70's vintage Shoenbrod.....gotta get some pics. Does wood framing count???/). There's plenty of room for a big boat in there, but time is an unknown.
Anyway....I sure like this design. John, has anyone done the yawl rig? Any pictures of one?
How's the cabin for the Whaler......are you still contemplating drawing one up? That one is a "short lister" too.

I have to be careful here as this a non commercial forum. But perhaps can say that there is a 26ft trailable double ender in the works, and that there will be a boat around 18ft with cabin, very similar to the Pathfinder but higher in the sides to give a decent cabin space.
thanks for the interest.

And I've been enjoying John's series of articles in "Messing Around In Boats". Are these articles available on the web so some of the others here can read them?

These articles also appear in Chuck Leinwebers emag at www.duckworksmagazine.com (http://www.duckworksmagazine.com) . Look under columns , they are entiltled "from the drawing board" and they are archived under my heading. The rest of the mag is really good stuff " By amateur boatbuilders, for amateur boatbuilders" and its a privelege to be involved.
