One of my poker buddies spent most of November and early December setting this up: http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1184614610?bctid=58354043001

He has a sign out by the street advising passersby to tune in to a specific local FM station; whatever they happen to be broadcasting drives the light show.

Needless to say, his house is also featured on a site called tackychristmas.com or something similar. :)

We've got one like that down in Rehoboth Beach, headquarters for a family run electrical business. Really quite fun to see the lights dancing. Some folks go rather minimal (we have one inflatable, a couple of snowmen in a globe with snow, and window candles) to "You can probably see that from orbit". Annual ritual - drive the town to see what's up. Some places look like Christmas threw up in their yard, but it's all fun.
Elf, what would be your idea of an "environmentally responsible" Christmas?

environmentally irresponsible christmas.

This from the woman who can rationalize killing a tree for 2 weeks of indoor decoration....

Grinch.

Actually, I do believe these displays are WAY over the top.

I'll be the neighbor's aren't so happy.

My outdoor lights all went out last night. Given all the rain they withstood, but have been something to do with the snow.
