Roger, I know you built this boat. Did you buy the frame kit or cut the frame parts yourself?
I'm thinking of building it also.
I have purchased Glen-L frames before and they were well worth the money. I'm currently building frames for the Glen-L Utility and its quite a bit of work and probably not much $ saving after buying quality wood to make them with.

Built 'em myself, Mike. I would have bought the frame kit had I had the money, which I didn't.
Ya really thinking about it, cuz?

Yep, I either want to do the Zip or the Rascal. I like the Zip for the dual cockpit.

Well, like Jim said, if you're gonna use mahogany for frames, it's going to be expensive, of course. If you use white oak, not so expensive. I used cypress which I already had, so I had no expense. ;)
Plans are good, not real in depth, but good. Since you've done a boat or two already, it should be a breeze.
If were going to do it again, though, I'd build Malihini. I think the extra two feet would make for a more comfy boat.

Always wanted a "Zip"- neat little boat. Something a bit larger might be in order now though, since I don't flex as well as I used to! ;)

Is Malihini a Glen L?

Yes. It's under the outboard designs.

I checked out the Malihini Roger. I still like the Zip better.
