A rock video by classical musicians with a sailboat as the visual theme.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbTozgoj9OQ&NR=1&feature=fvwp

explanation of this:

Classically trained musicians who like Heavy Metal

Which by the way has it's main background source for songs in classical music renditions by Metallica and many others.

THis redition by "APOCALYPTICA" is "Hall of the Mountain King" Written by Edvard Grieg as the Peer Gynt Suite to accompany Henrik Ibsen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henrik_Ibsen)'s play (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Play_%28theatre%29) Peer Gynt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer_Gynt)

Like Emerson Lake and Palmer's version of "pictures at an Exhibition" The rock version covers the sounds of the full symphony and take the music to a new dimesion of performance that many of us classical musicians find superior to the original orchestral arrangement. I have played this in symphony and had the joy of playing the cello lead. Wonderfull composition by Grieg.:D:D

So Hall of the mountain King........

Hope you enjoy. I will say both of these are hard listening the first time but about the third time you start to hear the little things. and the music comes alive in your head.

I love them. I have a buddy who's Finnish, and used to be a professional musician. I forwarded them to her also. Thanks!

My (Finnish) nephew gave me their CD a few years ago for Christmas. (Now you mention it, I wonder where that went . . . )
