I don't think Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life" could be topped, ever. A young Jimmy Stewart, a young Donna Reed, and a wonderful story of redemption where none is needed, but it's there anyway.

A wild-limbed Stewart running about completely lost of his senses, the cabby who gives a nod to the cop and says this guy is lulu, Clarence the angel who can't quite win his wings. Great stuff that the film going public wouldn't buy today.

Kudos Mr. Capra.
