Care to spin Obama's efforts at Copenhagen for us?

From the nature of the question, it appears unlikely that you’re actually interesting in the international conflicts here. But were you, instead of a numb troll, why not plop over to www.commondreams.org and see a bunch of articles by liberals dissatisfied with Obama. That way you can feel righteously free of any US political spin and worry only about the spinning of our planet.

Learn something first. Argue second.

Kinda goes like this...

Dec 16th...

President Obama told ABC News’ Charles Gibson in an interview that if Congress does not pass health care legislation that will bring down costs, the federal government "will go bankrupt."

Dec 17th...

Obama, so concerned with this revelation, decides to travel to Copenhagen.

Meanwhile, Hillary offers up $1,000,000,000 if they'll just strike a deal at the Summit.

It's all good. ;)

Wonder how many carbon credits were burnt up by VC-25 for that jaunt.

I don't begrudge the President using the plane, but it's kinda funny just the same. Could have tried that "go to meeting" software. :)

Bet he woulda looked impressive on a jumbo-tron screen.

You guys are only jealous because I just got here and lj is stalking me. Quit coveting and go find your own stalker. It may sting a bit to accept this, but it will end up being a positive thing in terms of personal growth.

bobbys moved on, the rest of you should as well. :D

Believe it or not a Jamie vs Lil battle could rack up more than you have done quicker:eek:

Scary they both spend that much time battling, and like I said , mainly it wasn't much of a battle with Jamie. You've at least held your own , maybe won a few , Jamie lost damned near ever time:D

Others MMV , but thats how I scored thier set-too's.

Thats a poor photo of Ole Jamie , he looks like a kook or Saddam when they yarded him up out the spider hole.

Oddly it's not such a bad photo in the larger size , but that avatar sized one , can't figure why he'd use it:confused: But he's a odd duck , ole Jamie.

Care to spin Obama's efforts at Copenhagen for us?

Since you asked, Paul.... I'm not sure it needs any spinning.

A couple of days ago, it looked like the talks were in disarray with small countries threatening a walkout. They are now reporting that there has been a meaningful agreement. So that obviously improved. As is the case with all negotiations, we didn't get everything we want, but it's a step in the right direction.

I suspect that China's real sticking point is more about GDP verification than carbon emissions reductions.

So that's what the major media is reporting.

What's your spin on it?

I'm headed out Christmas shopping with Katherine; but since I called you out, I do owe you an answer - I'll post when I get a chance this evening.

It only took lj 12 hours to respond ... then he/she/it actually provided a somewhat acceptable response.

I was expecting him to call you a drunk drug addict!

Who is 'we'? Are you there in Copenhagen?
