Hype and her babeness aside, Freya is the real thing. Full of spunk and tough as they come. She is the second to circumnavigate Australia, and looks to do so in better time, to boot.

She wears nothing but black.

Seen the black, when can I see the "nothing"?

Seen the black, when can I see the "nothing"?It's out there; Freya is not shy about nudity. I bet if you Google her you'll find it. BTW, she wore next to nothing or white T-shirts on part of her OZ sojourn, discarding the black when it got very warm. She is much more than a pretty face (etc.). She is a very skilled and ambitious paddler, an icon for women who paddler everywhere.

Hit Sea Kayaker magazine for more details; the editor was her unofficial link to the paddling crowd; I think her complete blog might be there: http://www.seakayakermag.com/

it's a trip of around 10,000 miles.

Good on her. I recall that the first guy to do it, back in the early 80's, got chased by a big (20') salt water crocodile whilst well out from shore. He outpaced it.

She is in "This is the Sea 3"

She has excellent balance.

Balance, yes, and of great advantage whenever you get your head stuck in the cockpit.

I think it would be great fun but I'd leave out the bit across the top (Brisbane to Broome) because it's too hot and the bottom because it's too rough (I'd have to include Tasmania or I'd never hear the end of it). I'd also leave out the west coast because it's too long. Rick

Very supple, and a terrific athlete. Little bio off the Epic web site: http://www.epickayaks.com/racing/teamepic/freyahoffmeister
