Does anyone know anything about the beautifully simple "plywood composite dory" (#55) that appears in the centrefold section of the Gougeon brothers' book?
Btw, is it pronounced "googun"?
It's the Bolger Light Dory or Gloucester Gull (I think)

I thing it's Gooj urn (silent "r").
It's 54 in my 1985 edition. Good to see you back on here Aramas. Did you move to SE Asia?

My WS distributor pronounces it goo-JON with a soft 'J', although he's the only one I've ever heard pronounce it like that.

At least I'm done with doctors and therapists - for treatment, anyway. I still have to be 'assessed' for the insurance nazis. The latest update from my lawyer is that I can bail after christmas.
I'll probably do some island hopping initially, then head for wherever takes my fancy. Apparently Fiji has nice plantation-grown fijian kauri, which is prettier and cheaper than the araucaria we have in AU.
Does anyone know the prices of kauri marine ply and epoxy in Fiji or Tonga? smile.gif
