Thanks ThreeCedars for posting the link to that CBC Land and Sea documentary. Henry Vokey is quite the legendary boat builder. One of his punts is on display at the Newfoundland and Labrador Boat Museum.

In the documentary, he mentions that he woke one morning with the idea that he would build a schooner, as a legacy of his work; he was nearly 80 years old. Just a few days ago, a video was posted on Utube showing the "taking of lines" from the framed up hull.

Vokey took the blame, for having built over a thousand, from punts to schooners. A couple still arround here,not hard to pick 'em out.
