I see links to plans for the 10' acorn dinghy all over the net ....I've also bumped into several references to 12' and 15' acorn dinghys but no mention of plans.....could someone point me to them if they do exist.

Alister.....first of many silly questions!

Hi Alister

I have the designers plans book and built the acorn as a college project (with my classmates) last year, if you want the details of his larger boats I can give you them. His book Clinker plywood boat building manual is excellent value and a damn good read. Woodenboat have it in stock with some of his plans as well.
The Acorn skiff is 11ft 9in
or 13ft the Acorn 15 is of course 15ft. the designers address: Iain Oughtred, Boat designer, Altyre Estate. Moray IV36 0SH.

regards

Shuggie.

What, he's moved again? It used to be The Piers, Findhorn, Moray, 1V36 0YF. Does he live in his car? Perhaps if everyone bought his book or a set of plans he could afford to settle down.
