Looking for plans / information on Wiking boats - not full size, but look alike of approx. 18 ... 23 feet.
Any ideas?
Planning some raping and pillaging excoursions? :)

Well his English is much better than my German, so here's what I can come up with:
First, are you looking for a historical replica type of build, or modern plans for modern materials like marine plywood?

Second, are you looking to build a fullscale / full-size boat, or just looking for info for model building (or dreaming)?
Third, some of the faering-influenced boats designed by Iain Oughtred may fit your bill, depending on the first question above. His Caledonia Yawl might work for the larger size.

Hello Sand. Nice first post - thanks for that.
Henning - not Viking boats per-se, but perhaps descendants? All beautiful boats and the lines are for sale! http://www.batritningar.se/default.aspx?Language=SE&Currency=SEK&Page=Startpage

Wiking boats - http://www.wikingboats.no/4.html
Their Combi 900 is just about the requested length.
But maybe not what you are looking for?
(btw - viking / wiking is pronounced the same. Single v or double v, same sound... not like double u. So much for phonetics. Wiking is an accepted alternative spelling, too.)

Thanks!
What I'm looking for is a smallish version of a long boat, complete with horse head, square sail shields and all ...
Some excellent stuff there that I will follow up.
