In light of how things have gone (ahem) upstairs, why the heck not?

He rushed to judgment awful fast and in a rude fashion, but his instincts appear to have been correct.

Ernie is a good man.

He's a little hot-tempered, I'd say, and perhaps not so aware of his surroundings as he may have been, but I'd like to see him around.

So, yeah, I'd vote to free the Troll, if it were up to me!

I enjoyed his posts and wish him back from purgatory.

I have to admit, I don't believe I saw the final posting that got him banned, so it may have been worse than I imagine. But what got under his skin is on clear display.

Or love his dog?

Seriously? I thought I saw him post just the other day?

Here I was thinking this could be my most successful bilge thread ever. But if he's already back, it's over before it started.

Is it too late to make this thread about religion?

oznabrag
11-15-2009, 03:42 PM
Well I just looked up his profile, and it doesn't say 'banned', so.......

Maybe he's still mad?

What should I look for in the way of 'developments' upstairs?

Could I start on the sail and oar cruiser thread?

Paul Pless

Could I start on the sail and oar cruiser thread?no... you should start a thread proposing a new subforum dedicated to oar and sail cruisers

Shows last activity 11/13/09, but I don't come up with any posts for that date. Maybe he learned to live without us.

Great idea!

Should I post it on all the existing subforums, just so I know I'll be heard?

I'm in for an Oar & Sail Cruising subforum, and I'd also like to hear from Ernie again. . .but I sure don't blame him for taking time away from this forum, either.

Seems from what I am seeing upstairs that Ernie's evaluation was spot on. Maybe he went a bit far with getting in the face of blatent self serving hippocracy, but with what I have seen on two threads is more than scary.

2MT is a helluva' nice guy in person and on the Forum. Plus he lives in a hippie commune where they only shower with patchouli oil and kids with names like Aspen and Rainbow and AirCooledBlock run through the muddy streets laughing and throwing gumdrops to all the passers-by. It would be a shame if he put hisself' into self-exile.

Im am around just staying out of things for a while. seems that I am rude and on someones list. so its not really worth it to comment on much having the continual risk of getting banned for any thing i say. I will get more active when i start the ulua and the catamaran. currently i am hanging out at the multihulls4us forum and doing some study on James woods catamarans.

to a great deal i am trying to not get involved her til the murderous double talking insulting B **** is either slammed out or she sinks to the bottom. I do miss many of you folks but it is increasingly clear that if i want to say what i think, i had best do it IRL rather than here. in a couple weeks i will be asking some questions about strip composite building but i am not quite to the point where i need more information. have fun every one i will be back in due time. thanks for the wanting to know where i am.

Come on over to the pub. We will get you drunk, or maybe just a drink. :)

You havnt figured it out yet? The pub doesn't actually give you anything! It's not real!:)

I was the one who alerted Scot to your post. It doesn't matter how wrong she was, nothing could have justified the stuff you said to a new widow.

Oh Yeah???

Well explain this one then, Mr. Smartypants... how come every time I visit the Pub, I come away feeling woozly? In fact, I contend that the Pub is So Real, and spills so much of its influence throughout the Bilge that I come away from any visit to the Bilge feeling a bit woozly. Explain that if you can :p:rolleyes::p

Are you some kind of SICKO or what?

Since I cant see your facial expressions, and you didnt give me any emoticon to go on, I'm going to wait for more information before I answer that.

Lee,

It's all well and good for you - safely tucked away down on the coast - to call for him to be freed. But think of us poor souls who actually live and boat in close proximity... up here in the Megalopolis (as Kohnen calls it). Didja ever think of us??? :p:D:p

2M - glad to hear you're feeling a touch perkier. Our big boat is in winter storage, up in the Gorge. The little boat is available, but I've been too busy making sawdust to make any spray. I swear, this year, I'm gonna do some winter sailing.

will you require a warm dry seat? or will a dry cold seat do?
Your new project looks like a good one but surely you can take a day to drift madly along with the wind :)
