Oddly enough, I don't. I have spoken with Kathy Bray about producing some of her wonderful prints of an International Dragon, but she needs a representative side view and she can't find one. If anyone has such a thing could they let me know? They have a print that would work as a model hanging in the bar at the Edgewater YC in Cleveland. I don't suppose I could sneak in there one night .... :)?

I'm amazed you don't have one. I tried google but there are so many "Dragons"

If anyone has such a thing could they let me know? Wouldn't this be what you and Kathy need?

Mr. Newt, you have illustrated perfectly one of Ms. Bray's problems: too many different configurations. I have a wooden Dragon myself (1963 Borresen hull), and the deck configuration of my boat is very close to the modern boats, but very different from the one you illustrated.

Paul, I do not have a set of plans or the lines drawings. I know that I should, but I don't. I have been sweet-talking Jill (who is a VERY nice person and a huge help to all of us from her London office) for years but she still hasn't sent me a set, and you have to do this weirdo wire-transfer thingee to buy anything from the IDA (Europeans would be amazed at how reluctant Americans are to conduct business this way. We send you a check. We send you a credit card number, no problem. Wire transfer just freaks us out. I should know. I am the one who has to send our international dues to the class every year, via a wire transfer to Barclay's).

Had a quick look - but no really good profile views - I have got the 1958 "Royal Dragon" book - history of the first ten years of Bluebottle, the Royal family's boat - with a slew of early racing shots etc.

If you want it - it's yours.

What a generous offer! Thank you, kindly. I also happen to own a copy of that one. I am not sure exactly how one goes about getting a profile of a boat without taking ground level photos and working from that.

The more I look at that model the more differences I can see. Rub rails. Toe rails. A lot of stuff Dragons don't have any more. Insteresting.
