Just using up materials on hand.
Strip planked with 3/4 X 1 1/2" Mahogany. The side rails are just sitting there until I get the whole thing built and the roof in place.

Still working on frame replacement in the hull. Maybe a picture of that tomorrow...

The companionway is just clamped there for giggles, sort of looks lonely....

Hi all..
Sorry it has been a long time and we have been kinda quiet on here. It do get a wee bit tough working away from home.

We have been making slow steady progress on Black Spirit. Best of all we have been able to source alot of needed materials while I have been here in West Palm. Having World Panel right around the corner is a great thing! I have grabbed lots of needed ply and mahogany, From a boat fixerupper I also was able to pick up 200 bd feet of 6/4 cumaru and ipe at a whopping...$2.00 a bdft!!, Man that was a heavy load to haul across FL. The boards were average 6" wide and 14' long. I did cut them down in length to fit in the truck with out too much overhang. This is goung to be cut into strps for the deck.

Claudia molded all the deck beams and we have gotten them temped in place. We took the first 2" of strip planking off at the sheer due to rot and lots of cut off bolts/screws. New wood has been cut to replace that. We have been fitting white oak for the mast partners and all the blocking. 6mm ply will be going down on the decking soon (after a few major bulkheads are put in place. Also have removed the old rotted transom planking and plywood and have cut out a piece of 6mm meranti to cover in that hole. New 1/2" mahogany planks will be installed over the ply a bit further down the line.

The front 1/3 of the inner hull has all the frames fixed/replaced that need to be and it has been all sealed in epoxy. 2 more frames need fixin in the cabin area. Then the rest of the interior can be sealed up. After that its finishing up on the outside of the hull. Going to be ordering a mess o xynole in the next couple weeks...:D
So, slowly but surely work is getting done..
