This vessel has been on CList for a while now, price slowly dropping. I'm wondering what it is and if it's worth a look. Plus, just curious and don't want to waste too much of the seller's time.

OK... is it just my ignorance about keelboats, or is anyone else having trouble rationalizing the picture of the boat in the sling and the picture of the boat on the trailer?

No troubles at all, a keepboat is the one you cherish while the one featured is a sellboat. The chap does say it is somewhere along the way in a restoration thus his mentioning of keel bolts as he has dropped the keel during the restoration process and changed the hull colour from a classic blue to the ubiquitous white.

Cheers!

Peter,just trying to be helpful..........:)

It would be fairly typical of a Philipe Harle design of the late 50s early 60s. His "Muscadet" would be a slightly later boat of very similar type but done in plywood. Its probable though that this was a common shape and layout in France at the time and it may be very hard to pin down a designer.

Thanks John. I emailed the seller and have received no response as of yet. I'm not going to drive three hours to see a boat if I have no idea what it is. Also, I have no clue as to the interior accomodations/layout. It looks pretty enough, but that doesn't make it a good boat. And yes, David, I did notice that it sits awful low on the trailer for a keelboat, so it's obviously going to need some modifications to the trailer if it plans on going anywhere once the keel is reattached.
