Interesting, I've thought of sailing into ports along New England's coast and tuning and servicing pianos. A few customers along the coast have told me of one person who has done this during the summer months!
By the way Dave don't you have a comment about being a hermit in Maine,I thought we stayed more for the beauty of tradition and the lure of the seasons. Add in a working and splendid sailing venue and paradise!!

You should do that Vinny! Like the market boat family that sells veggies and baked goods from port to port. Advertise in Working Waterfront, Points East and newspapers that serve islanders. Notify various yacht clubs and get in their winter newsletters and websites. I bet there are alot of summer houses that have pianos. (You'll need one of those French bikes to get around.:D)

Re 'hermitage': I was in Portland yesterday and Downeast in the last few weeks. In both cases I felt somewhat driven to get back home. Not necessarily a good trend in my thinking, I wager.

According to the NY Times today (Sat), 80% of that rental bike fleet(?) has been either stolen or vandalised.
