We hauled this afternoon. It was a close thing as the tide was not favorable and was going out fast. It was weird having Raw Faith there at the PYS dock. Here are a few pics:

It's sad that the season is over but it's kind of nice having her safe in the driveway again. We had a great season with the highlight being our first weeklong cruise.

Didn't I see those same photos a year ago?!

You guys gotta get a different truck so we can tell which year the pix are from!

Here's Talisman being hauled just inshore of RF. Steven is in the launch, all smiles, all the time :D.

Talisman sure looks cozy next to your house.

Do you miss having access to the garage and driveway all winter!?

We still have access to the garage. Not for a car, but we've never had a car in there anyway. It's more of a boatshop that just happens to have a garage door and be at the end of the driveway. ;) We still have room to park all three cars in the driveway and parking on the street is fine except during snowstorms.

There is some damage to the hull just under the waterline. I get pictures this afternoon.

Better tie down that downspout before the wind kicks up. :D

Man, Jim, you're as bad as Nanoose! (Not really)
That downspout has been like that forever.

Seems like just yesterday you were putting her in.

We launched in the beginning of June this year and stayed in until the end of October. That's a longer season than most here. 5 full months. You need some time to work on the boat, no?

You are so lucky in Maine having those Brownell trailers around.
I am seriously thinking about buying one for myself, the cost of storage in this part of the world is out of sight.

Ouch. Hope it's not serious.

You sure do take good care of her.
What caused the minor damage? Wife or Child at the tiller?
Debris floating off from Raw Faith?

I like the contrast in attire between Steven and the guy operating the tow skiff - was Steven just being a wimp or is the skiff guy really that tough? <lol>

All teasing aside, nice to see her safely home and I hope that the hull issues are minor.

Steven, did you recieve a package in the mail from me yet?

Hey! Steven! Since Talisman is now safe at home, it's time to jump across the atlantic and have a sail out on Anthéa ;) !

I'll take umbrage on behalf of Mary and the teenagers, all of whom are very good sailors in their own right, and why shouldn't they be.

It looks like the limb of a tree got caught around the bow and abraded some paint and planking.

You're on! We've been wanting to visit France for ever. Now we just have to. :)

Here is a picture of the damage to the planking on the starboard side. There is a little spot near the stem, too. I think a log or branch must have gotten hung up on the mooring and just rubbed and rubbed. It had to be early in the season for these barnacles to have grown. :(

It's just below the waterline, the wear spots are at least an 1/8" deep, maybe a little more. :(

My sincerest apologies to Mary and the teens.

If you want to come down here for a warm week we have the guest house available now. Plus a wooden sailboat to go overnight on, and a wooden powerskiff to play with.
Just let me know when.
