It says its built exactly to spec but the dog house looks high, so not sure.

Never been in the water, but it's been almost everywhere else! As I understand it, the original builder of the hull, deck and housetop worked on it over a period of years with the intention of sailing it with his grandchildren, and when his child divorced he became discouraged and sold it to my father, who trucked it to his barn in Vermont with the intention of completing it. Life got in the way and that never happened. After it sat in his barn for several years he sold it to Paramount Pictures, which wanted it as a prop for the film "Domestic Disturbance" (an unimpressive movie starring John Travolta as a divorced boatbuilder). Paramount trucked it to North or South Carolina where it "starred" in the film, including a scene where Travolta's boatshop is torched and burns down. After they were done with it Paramount sold it and it has made its way to Steamboat. I think Mike Hanyi should buy it and ship it to Finland. It could be like that garden gnome that gets photographed all over the world.

Im under the distinct impression that a "true" H28 should not have a dog house.

About the doghouse, here's the Steamboat H-28:

And here for comparison is another H-28 (w/busted mast) for sale on the same list:

The windows are a bit odd on the Steamboat boat and the roofline somewhat different.
