Does anyone have knowledge of the energy cost for converting a tree into lumber. I know that I would ask what size tree, but what I wonder is the cost per board foot of usable lumber.How much fuel to cut the tree into logs, haul it to the mill, saw it into boards, plane it to size and deliver it to the user?
