Any knife collecters out there who know if this could be worth the price? (Cause I used to have one.)

Rigging knives are as idiosyncratic as their owners. I favor the old Camillus rigger but I've seen recent (1970's) Case XX riggers in excellent condition go for well over $100 US. This is an antique so you're bucking three markets: Antique knives, Maritime Antiques and Case collectors.

But: anything is only "worth" what someone is willing to pay for it, be it a knife, a car, a mandolin or anything that's "collectible".

I've had one of these for about 30 years.

My only complaint. Like any stainless blade, it doesn't hold an edge.

Tim,

I am actually on my second also. The first went back to Buck in pieces and came back reincarnated as brand new.

Mine doesn't get as much use as it used to. I never go to sea without it and for many years it never left my pocket. I often found myself needing a 3/8" drill and a 5 lb. maul when the only tool I had was my trusty Buck. This knife is made to be abused!
