Ariat boots

What makes them nice is the inclusion of a lot of running shoe technology in them -- carbon fiber shanks, squishy gel, etc.

They've got Texas-style ropers:

As well as slightly more classic stuff:

And others:

They've even knocked off Blundies (Blundstones) from downunder

Justins are more comfortable than Tony LLamas, and they make better exotic leather.

Thet ther ain' no Texan, young fella. He was born in the same hospital as I was..... But that doesn't negate the fact that he wears cowboy boots.....;)

Mine are just a basic Laredo work-boot model. Not fancy, not too extreme, shallow vibram-type lug pattern on the sole so that I don't break my neck on slick surfaces, durable leather that can take some abuse. I like them well enough to have stashed away another pair in case they aren't available when this pair wears out.

And the fact that he wears cowboy boots doesn't mean that everybody who does is a mule-headed, mealy-mouthed moron, either. :)

And you demand my support of Obama when cowboy boots and the place Bush was born sends you off on a rant?

I don't demand your support of Obama, but I think this Nation deserves your support.

Now why ya gotta go make a nice innocent boot thread into another stupid political mess? I do agree any boots with the presidential seal or other ostentatious ornamentation are a little silly. But start your own thread for that.

Now a nice plain pair of boots like in Todd's tweed thread look really good with a pair of jeans.
