The little one was finished in July, the 14' was partly done up at Woodenboat in August during Family Week. My son wants a CLC sail rig for Christmas...

Beautiful boats and a good job of bringing fresh air down here.

I didn't want to hijack Fitz's thread above, but maybe someone here can explain the Greenland paddle to me

For the record, I have whatever plastic piece-o-crap came with my Craig's-list-plastic kayak, but it seems to do just fine. Might do better with a little curve. I'm generally paddling flat water, but try to do at least an hour into the current at a pretty good clip for exercise.

Also for the record, I'm going to buzz into CLC during the Annapolis boat show and pick out something (or two). ;)

So someone educate me on why or why not to go for one of the Greenland-style paddles.

Thanks!

I "happened" to have some 1x4 cedar hanging around and thought I'd try one. seems to work ok, I think I need one a bit longer - it's about 6' and I'm 5'8" and don't think I'm getting quite the leverage I ought to - fair to good chance of "operator error" in there too.
