My brother ran across us yesterday while we took Enterprise out for a little spin. Taken with his cell phone:

Doing about 18 knots...she'll do 21 with a clean bottom. Just wish I had uncoverd the cabin windows and was flying my burgee!

How come the back end is sittin' low in the water with her nose in the air.....?:p

Thanks for at least replying Chuck. This just confirms my feeling of being an outcast around this forum. Had she been a sailboat, rail down and flying the oohs and ahs would have been overwhelming. I don't think I'll bother to change the avatar picture, maybe after all these years, it's time to find another forum.
Aren't you being just a bit sensitive Bob? You're not the only one here into boats with engines.
My preference is sail and I get annoyed at power boat owners who don't think about the effect their was is having on other boats when they fang past. I've seen some beautifully maintained cruisers sitting at anchor and enjoying the day and under power and doing the speed limit.
Post some more photo and include interior shots.

Bob, Your boat's a beauty. I'm with Gary and would like to see some more photos of her too. I don't know about changing the avatar though. . . I like seeing that bright transom.

I have to say i am with WX
power boats are cool just not to my taste any more. shes a pretty little thing.
my only problem with any power boat is the person behind the wheel (and yes that includes when i was running ships). considerate skippers on pretty boats alway get a friendly wave. heck i have waited the entire summer to see Vamoose out of her shed.

Yeah - I like the transom shot too. Good to see her at speed though.

Bob, I'm guilty of looking at your picture yesterday, liking it, and not saying so. Trim looks fine to me, by the way.
And don't take it so hard. I have posted multiple threads in B&R containing pictorials of complete small boat builds and not had more than a couple hundred views and a half dozen comments. It's just the nature of the beast. If there's nothing controversial or overtly stupid about your post, people won't have much to say. Now that you've complained about a lack of attention, all of a sudden, you've got a thread!;)

I'd like it to be your new avatar.
That's one vote FOR. :)

I like it. A boat is better looking in the water than on the hard.

I know Chuck, and I appreciate the other responses too. I saved her from the dumpster in 1992, and have been on this forum since around then. I had a boat repair shop which at it's peak had 12 workers, and have been a tireless wood boat supporter, but because she is a production powerboat (and I know not that well built, it wasn't meant to last this long) I have endured my share of distain here. I make close to six figures, and could have any boat I really wanted to sign on the dotted line for, but I chose her. I'm sorry she isn't most folks here cuppa.
BTW Gary E,

Rescued her from the dumpster?! I'm even MORE impressed!
Definitely the new avatar.
So, are you going to show her off? More photos please.
Congratulations to anyone who saves these old classics! Who cares how long they were built to last for? Go to any marina anywhere and all you see is a whole lot of plastic boats (not that I have anything against plastic boats) that all look the same. And then all of a sudden you find a lovely wooden yacht or cruiser, or whatever, that just takes your breath away. Most of us know pretty much what has gone into getting it that way or keeping it that way. The world is a better place because there are people who save old boats from the dumpster - good on you Bob, you have every right to be proud of your Enterprise! Rick
