I'm new to the forum and enjoy all the posts. I've searched for this in the archives but have not seen this question. Forgive me if it has been covered.
I am restoring a carvel planked wood troller hull. This summer wooded the hull above WL, cleaned up and reset galv boat nail fasteners, removed old seam compound, sealed and primed the planking and seams and recaulked some planks that were too deep. Now I am using Pettit seam compound which is going in quite well after I got the hang of it. I'll be using Kirby's semi gloss enamel for the top coat.
My question is: should I prime again over the Pettit seam compound, or can the Kirby's go right over it?
