These look pretty good.

Thanks, Good, for the info......I just now ordered all four of the files plus two handles for the 10 inchers ......I really like those Japanese chisels (the ones with red oak handles) and expect the files will be just as good.

Wonder how they compare with the Nicholson 49 and 50?
Would be interested in hearing how these work out.
They look good.
Thanks
Gary

The Nicholson #49 and #50 rasps are longer and are tapered a bit. They are twice as expensive.

They are very good tools.

I bought a pair of these today. They are very good. The half-round one doesn't have any teeth on the other side, its hollow.
I don't have a piece of wood to try them on so I tried them on my left big toe(I'm right handed so I can't reach my right toe cause I'm too fat.) Anyway, the toe is quite callous because I should go and buy new shoes but I prefer to buy tools. (Hell, you can buy clothes anytime.) The files are very good in my opinion but I wish they were longer. You'd think that the people in marketing would know that a long stroke is more popular than a short one. So now my toe looks like a slug, a very smooth slug.
