Maybe the coolest of all low budget, shabby monsters. When he looked at you, you felt alive.

The original music, for the first "Godzilla" movie was written way back in 1954 by Akira Ifukube.

I think the GODZILLA culture is quite revealing.

A post nuclear war society comes up with a monster that, although always destructing large cities (with human victims) is loved and defended by the people it harrasses.

I was never much interested in the movies, but the after midnight Godzilla films were required viewing at the local cinema. (before TV)

What about the other monsters: Gamera, Rodan and Mothra? And were there others?

Doug

You got that right. A beer and football, who could ask for more. Oh yeah we probably need to do it at Hooters and all would be right in the world.

BTW my last gun we named Godzilla.

Gamera! The "friend of all children everywhere" rocket-powered flying turtle (lower right) here taking on the evil monster Barugon (the incredibly lifelike bit of clay on the upper left).

Some of the best Mystery Science Theater 3000 shows feature Gamera movies.

Crowley, the tug and barge company, has an overland division, CATCO (Crowley All Terrain Company) which operates rolligons to deliver oil field equipment over the frozen tundra.

They have a couple large versions of these...

Anyhow, one of them is named Godzilla.

I'd love to see Godzilla fight him using his blow torch breath.
