Jut finished watching WTTW out of Chicago broadcast a replay of Pete Seeger's 90th Birthday.

How come we never see new photos of the CLEARWATER here? How about her 1/3-scale sister ship, the WOODIE GUTHRIE?

We get regular updates of that monstrosity, the RAW FAITH. We're getting running commentary about a steel monstrosity that so far won't float off her land transport, no matter how much money they spend on her.

The CLEARWATER is a worthy vessel built of wood. She has enjoyed a long career doing what she was built to do. Don't we have Forumites in the Hudson River Valley who might keep us posted?

I've seen the CLEARWATER up close, and sailed briefly in the WOODIE GUTHRIE, but that was a long time ago.

Whats great is that the Clearwater will be undergoing a much needed complete refit thanks to Pete's birthday bash at Madison Square Garden with all the proceeds going to the Clearwater.

Steve and I walked around the yard she was built up at Coose's this summer.

I just e-mailed them to see about setting up a house party/fundraiser in S. Bristol next summer. We are located across the Gut from the Gamage yard with a view of the building where she was built.
Hey Joe, see if you can drive Pete over and we'll haul him around on the WFYC cruise.

There are still old timers in S. Bristol who talk about the gigantic launch weekend.
They'd never seen girls without bras.
Maybe a fundraiser could get arranged in S. Bristol around Pete coming over?
I'll stay in touch and see what I can do in the mean time with the Historic Society (which is located in my front yard)
