I'm going mad. My 4 day then expanded to 2 1/2 week delivery of the part that lets me use my boat is now over 3 weeks and ' its not here yet'.
Isn't there freight tracking available by most responsible companies in the world now? eh? Is Perkins a third world company?( don't answer)
anyway, off to my happy place before the heater gets a boot up its thermostat, and think about boats.
Nice little H28 woody on the cleaning grid at westhaven marina.

Fog is not usual here so when it happens it's ooooooooh look at the fog. Bit like frost or puddles with ice .. oooooooh lookit the.....
;)
Paul, as part of a planned job I carefully ordered the exhaust mixer ( 6 weeks) made gaskets, organised a bit of outwork( timing belt due.. ) but on pulling off the mixer/elbow I discovered that the turbo was in pretty bad shape behind it. Took that in for evaluation and its no good. So its a whole turbo replacement.

I knew I should have taken a sunny side photo of the Herreshoff, but I was too busy going ooooh look at the fog.

Sounds like a bum deal on the parts you're waiting for John. Today was another one of those strange fog days. Just returned from up at the boat and at the top of the hill I get a great view of Rangi and the gulf but not today. I was basking in sunshine day but all of Rangi and gulf were under a veil of fog. And it just snuk in early this evening to our place.
Anyways, last Tuesday when we put the mast up on Ngatira I spied some yards down at the wharf which piqued my curiosity. This is what I found. Another Herreshoff – sunnysideup.

That boat is always at Kawau . I guess that explains why.
I'm really curious about it, I know it dropped its foremast last year.

Apparently he's a liveaboard, but could have property at Kawau. Normally parked up from the yacht club area IIRC. The guys at Gregs know a bit about him, will ask.

Thats Brian Walden's Herreshoff. Launched a couple of years back after a long build. Is often seen upriver at Roberston's too. Why he put yards on it I will never know, I've seen it once under squares, and it looked terrible with them up, they are totally the wrong shape. Looks nice with no sails up though.

Perhaps it's as the old saying goes 'Gentlemen never sail to weather'.

Ha. No , as I'm sure you're well aware of , its Cloud, as in land of the long white cloud aka pre gps navigation system.
' ere Nigel/Wunhung/Rangi/Angelo, ain't it got choppy allofasudden,... and why are those boids heading for that long white cloud over there?'
