Hello
I'm new to the forum, I just got my second wood boat (the first one turned out to be a little more than I was looking for). I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions as I begin to fix it up, I was reading over some random posts again and am beginning to realize just how little I know about wood boat restortation.
The first question I have is... does anyone have any info on Russell Boats Inc.? From what I can understand my boat is a Sandusky by Russell Boats Inc. but I have no ownership to show the year... I went in to get an ownership with the bill of sale and they asked me the year of the boat... I dont know what to tell them? I was given the boat from a family who got it with their cottage. They said the neighbour remembers loading the boat into a dry shed about 18 years ago, since then the family has left it out to the weather, in the water for the last three years (covered on land during the winter). The boat is 16' from bow to stern and I believe the beam is around 5'.
Here is a link to some pics. The blue boat is just a boat that came with the trailer and motor (late 50's V4 Evinrude). The other one is the one I'm looking for info on.
Thanks
