Some work to do on the home built trailer. Test run the engine , a bottom coat and she is ready for the water. Not today. It is raining cats and dogs. Thanks for all who helped on this forum. See wooden cleats and thole pins. I'll send some more photos when the sun shines.

Thank you guys for all the GOOD words. Yes it was fun to build her all the way. As soon as it stops raining, now she is outside, I can do some more work and blow another film on her. The engine is a second hand Tecumseh out of a roto-tiller. Aircooled, 5 H.P. 9 inch prop that was given to me and although there are several "prop shops" in town, the professionals could not be definite about two bladed, three bladed, 8,9 or 10 inch, bronze,, stainless steel etc. so this prop was just straightened out, polished up, I'll put a coat of epoxy on it and we'll see how it works. And anyway, those little propellors are difficult to come by and a 10 inch, three bladed, stainless steel one, reconditioned, three hundred dollars. That's not in my budget. The transmission, a second hand Hirst I bought via E Bay. The two of us were bidding on a book, I lost but the fellow said he had the right trasnsmission for me for a good price all the way in Wisconsin. So I bought it and it came in the mail together with the book he did not want after all!.Now I can slow down a little bit anyway instead of slamming into the dock or someone's boat.I'll post a picture.

I am not sure what the best thing to do is. Questions come via the Forum as well as by Email. I think what I should do and would like to do is to do a little write-up about the whole affair (I had and still have with her!). One of the last questions was where are the original drawings and off-sets. Centre of Wooden Boats in Seattle. One of us bought them recently for $10 and after waiting a month or two. You can look them up at their Web site. Also I heard from my friend in Bremerton who has repaired many original Poulsbo Boats that a free lance writer for Wooden Boat is coming to the Port Townsend area to do a write up about this boat. Who knows, maybe he do a much better job than I ever could.
