Norman, don't know if you are around these days since I haven't been keeping up myself much lately, but maybe you could answer a few thoughts on the Kindle. I am kind of getting an itch to own one. A couple of questoins:
1) Seems like there is quite a bit of talk about them being too fragile. Hate to take a risk with the that much money.
2) Is the screen on the Kindle 2 adequate size for reading newspapers and magazines? The DX is a lot more expensive, but I would probably start relying on the Kindle for my WSJ subscription.
3) My eyes get worse and worse for reading as the evening progresses, and most of my book reading is from 9:30-11:30 at night. Is the feature used to increase the font size on the Kindle 2? Something I read implied that this was only a DX feature.

Anyother comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks, norman. We can both go back to lurking mode now.

non-controversial,

Non-controversial?!? Are you kidding? Ever shown a Kindle to some luddite that "just likes the smell and feel of paper" ? :D
