Suppose you were on the Titanic and it was sinking.

You had no chance to live as they caught you pretending you were a woman to get on the last lifeboat.

So the Jig wuz up and you were gonna go down.

The band was tuning up and shouted to you.

Whats the last song you wanna hear in this life Pal???.

Ok they most likely had no Jersey accent but COULD play Sinatra or Springsteen.

Just ONE song.

I think i will go with.

DANNY BOY.

PS your band can have BONGOS if you want.

Anything by Barbara Streisand.....(I figure so many people would either shoot themselves, or jump out of their life boats and drown, that I'd have a good chance of getting a seat afterall...:D)

Water bout People, That always makes me feel like loving my fellow man.

People

People,
People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
We’re children needing other children
And yet letting our grown-up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers
Are very special people
They’re the luckiest people in the world
With one person,
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you are half now you’re whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world.

With one person
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you are half now you’re whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world.

Music my a--!

I'd be too busy lashing a raft made of wooden doors and other furniture together using strips of fabric ripped from drapery.

I'd have a hardwood table leg handy to club anybody who tried to interfere.

then I'd invite the best-looking chamber maid to leap over the rail with me and we'd live happily ever after.

Oh, no doubt at all (Hwl and PIST may be surprised):

Guide me, O Thou great Redeemer…
Pilgrim through this barren land.
I am weak, but Thou art mighty;
Hold me with Thy powerful hand.
Bread of Heaven, Bread of Heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.

Open now the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield;
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield.

Lord, I trust Thy mighty power,
Wondrous are Thy works of old;
Thou deliver’st Thine from thralldom,
Who for naught themselves had sold:
Thou didst conquer, Thou didst conquer,
Sin, and Satan and the grave,
Sin, and Satan and the grave.

When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of deaths, and hell’s destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.

Musing on my habitation,
Musing on my heav’nly home,
Fills my soul with holy longings:
Come, my Jesus, quickly come;
Vanity is all I see;
Lord, I long to be with Thee!
Lord, I long to be with Thee!

How about "Thick as a Brick" by Jethro Tull? That'll buy you enough time to build a life raft out of deck chairs, and stock it with food and wine, too.

You know, you might be surprised how many formites believe in what Tyler posts. Just because they don't post their support doesn't mean they don't believe it.

You might also be very surprised the number that you posted of those who don't believe him is very greatly exaggerated. In other words I don't think that there are 20,000 formites total but hyperbole is one of the weapons of the unknowing.

Do I get to hear the WHOLE song? In that case, the ENTIRE Ring of the Niebelungungung, by Wagner.

Otherwise, probably Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill." Maybe "Goin' Out West" by Tom Waits, with the intro to "Dirt in the Ground" echoing in my ears as I draw my last breath.

Mind you, there'd be no finer song in that situation than the howl of a couple turbines, hovering right over head....

Amen brother. Let us now turn to hymn number 456

Eternal Father, Strong to Save

Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bidd'st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!

O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And hushed their raging at Thy word,
Who walkedst on the foaming deep,
And calm amidst its rage didst sleep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!

Most Holy Spirit! Who didst brood
Upon the chaos dark and rude,
And bid its angry tumult cease,
And give, for wild confusion, peace;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!

O Trinity of love and power!
Our brethren shield in danger's hour;
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them wheresoe'er they go;
Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.

I remember when I was a very little girl, our house caught on fire.
I'll never forget the look on my father's face as he gathered me up
in his arms and raced through the burning building out to the pavement.
I stood there shivering in my pajamas and watched the whole world go up in flames.
And when it was all over I said to myself, "Is that all there is to a fire?"

Is that all there is, is that all there is
If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing
Let's break out the booze and have a ball
If that's all there is

And when I was 12 years old, my father took me to the circus, the greatest show on earth.
There were clowns and elephants and dancing bears
And a beautiful lady in pink tights flew high above our heads.
And as I sat there watching the marvelous spectacle
I had the feeling that something was missing.
I don't know what, but when it was over,
I said to myself, "Is that all there is to a circus?"

Is that all there is, is that all there is
If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing
Let's break out the booze and have a ball
If that's all there is

Then I fell in love, with the most wonderful boy in the world.
We would take long walks by the river or just sit for hours gazing into each other's eyes.
We were so very much in love.
Then one day, he went away. And I thought I'd die -- but I didn't.
And when I didn't I said to myself, "Is that all there is to love?"

Is that all there is, is that all there is
If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing

I know what you must be saying to yourselves.
If that's the way she feels about it why doesn't she just end it all?
Oh, no. Not me. I'm in no hurry for that final disappointment.
For I know just as well as I'm standing here talking to you,
when that final moment comes and I'm breathing my lst breath, I'll be saying to myself,

Is that all there is, is that all there is
If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing
Let's break out the booze and have a ball
If that's all there is
