Dry storage for wood boat?

Is long term dry storage for a 50 year old wooden
hull boat detrimental? and if so, what are the problems and the severity of such problems?

If it stored on a cement floor the concrete will dry the boat out if you have cold winters. You may want to consider a gravel floor for long term storage.
