Allow me to update /more fully explain what im looking for . I need suggestions for a design to be used for inshore / near shore in coastal north carolina [morehead city area ] I have looked at the skiff designs from Spira Intrernational as well as some for the Tolman skiff along with plans for a Simmons sea skiff. Any experiances with building from these designs would be appreciated . I am a fairly good carpenter and have built a few small flatbottom boats for river use .thanks in advance for the help

I'm no expert, just a newbie, but I think the forum crew may need an idea of length (?20' as per Tolman or Simmons) and whether open, or with a cuddy cabin etc, and preferred rig
