We launched our gaffer on the 7th of March. She is small enough to be dragged onto the tray of a car recovery truck

and set off for the water at 80 km/hour.

We craned her into the water at the Royal Yacht Club of Melbourne at Williamstown

and she took to it ..

Tested the tender

and motored around to the swing mooring. We have not raised the sails yet as it was a blowy sort of weekend and I want it quiet before we test the scarfs in that mast and the other heart in mouth bits.

Didn't you feel awkward having your boat on the back of a truck that was going down the wrong side of the street?

GREAT job!!!!!!!!

Splendid. The tender looks like a Bolger Elegant Pram?

Thanks folks. She is a Golant Gaffer at heart and I have posted once or twice over the last couple of years. I don't have a current on-line album but will set one up later. The tender is the Mertens-Gossens D4 whose plans are downloadable from the internet. The mast is up and we should have out first sail this weekend if the weather holds.

Why are that beautiful pictures gone away?? I'm looking for information of Golant Gaffers. I also try to reach the Golant Gaffers website, but that site is also not working..

BTW. First I have to finish my Oughtred's Fulmar...

Durkjan,

The photoshop I had the pictures with has turned itself into a paying service and I did not want to pay. So i lost them. To see them again I will have to repost with someone else, and I don't have the time right now as we are moving house. There is a Golant Gaffer association in England - have you had any contact with them?
