Same here Phillip, the explanation I got was a 'remote firewall' at the US end. Interference or house cleaning?
Glad you're back though.

Yup. The Forum was down here from about 4:30 PM until about 5:00 this morning. Outages seem to becoming a regular thing. Maybe it's time for a new server. I'm on several other forums with way more members that hardly ever have a glitch of any kind.

Sometimes the only way to stop one of Mark's posting frenzys is to just shut it down. Look down at who the last poster was llast night at 7:23, 7:24, 7:25, etc. The forum came back up at 8:00 a.m., look who posted at 8:01.

And then, as near as I can tell, to clean out all of a particluar forumite's posts for a month takes time.

So, the sage of Brooklin, our very own Scott, decided to clean house and let some of you addicts get some sleep at the same time. But no, you just hammered away at that refresh button, didn't you?

Wasn't just the forum this time; the whole Woodenboat magazine site was down as well.

I notice there is now a new page at the beginning of the Forum and one more step to enter. Could that be it?
