Got home from AM Mass and bethought myself , what a nice day for a paddle. Threw the boat in the truck with the pfd and the new double paddle and proceeded to progress around the local lake, picking a couple of water lily flowers for the wife in the process. She may have a slight tendency to pull to the right (like her owner:p) (the boat, that is) but cruises nicely at a good speed. I'm looking forward to more upper body workouts. Thanks for the input on double paddles, folks. I might need one a bit longer, this one will probably be ok to a bit long for my son, but he's just getting the 13 yo growth spurt and will probably grow into it.

As much as I would like it Kayaking is out for me. After a severe back injury I cannot stay in one longer than 10 minutes. I am jealous of those who can as we miss so much not poking into the small spaces.

Bring a camera next time or we'll claim it never happened.

I missed it - what kind of kayak is Pond Scum? Got a 'builders' thread, perhaps?
