Last weekend, Pat O'Hearn and Mark Bunzell took out Isis and Rumo over to Saddlebag Island in order to get some nice portrait shots of the new boats. Isis is a shiny, new 19' Calkins Bartender. Rumo is a less shiny but even newer Devlin design, the Candlefish 16. (I had a hand in building both boats, the interior, decks, coaming, cuddy and windscreen on Isis, and pretty much the entire boat with Rumo.)

Isis is intended to be an all-weather, year-round fishing boat. The dodger and rail above the coaming are in progress. Rumo is a safe, sturdy high volume utility skiff. So far, I have been 6 for 6, a 100% success rate, with crab for dinner every time I have taken her out to set traps.
Not too bad for a couple of green, plywood boats, eh? Both are designs indigenous to the Pacific Northwest, too. The hardest part, of course, is photoshopping all of the raindrops and drizzle out of the shots since it never stops raining up here. :D
