laminating adhesives

Is resorcinol (sp?) a suitable adhesive for laminating wood that will be necessarily flexible, i.e. oar shafts, spars, etc.? If not, how about epoxy? I'm thinking of just the standard 4:1 resin I use for laying up cloth. Is there a specific product for just this purpose?
