View Full Version : BLOOD

Black flies cloud me as I work on my boat
Lapping up blood that oozes from holes in my skin
Omelets of platelets with a dash of salt
Orgies, the gluttonous flies deliriously full
Dern it, I'll work now, itch later!!

My only satisfaction is that each fly that drinks my blood, becomes me...in a sense...some of me can now fly...it's a small satisfaction...I itch.

That's one heck of a way to become immortal!

How 'bout some misquito netting?
Hang it like a tarp
or get one of the patio screens.

'Flyin in my eyballs, drownin in my tears,
crawlin up my nose and bitin on my ears.
I'm stickin to the lesson that I learned so long ago.
I'm sittin in the smoke until the black flys go.'

Chorus of a great old song. Works too.

They go good with campfire beans. Swat all you can and sprinkle them on like pepper.

Have you not heard of the latest invention on biting insect control. It,s a machine that emits carbon dioxcide, which attracts the little beggers, then when they fly near the area, they are tosted by a blast of heat (flame) I think from a propane burner......... only about $2999.99 USD....... But just think about all the work you could get done on your boat. You,ll probably pay for it by not smoking so many cigars and your health Im sure would improve. :D I know it,s my first money spent when I get back to Northern Ontario !!
