Can anyone recommend a place to get an antique telescope repaired?

"Spyglass" style.

If you don't have any luck, holler....There's a place in New England (I'll have to dig out the old invoices) that did some work for me. Depending on how old it is, they may also fill it with nitrogen and it's possible to have the lenses coated if you care to do so....which it may not have been done originally.

Thanks, Chuck...I will try Captain's first since that is easy...

My maternal grandfather and greatgrandfather were ranchers in eastern Washington They summered their cattle on public land, then drove them down in the fall. I would not be surprised if they used it to find cattle in nooks and crannies...my father said they would set up shop like that when they were in summer pasture and were hard to find.

The spyglass is definitely 19th century, who know, perhaps it was used to scout for land when they came over from Scotland in 1879.
