I was going to post the Cape Cod Times bit. Good pix. This is one of the few things around that I've not hit. But it's an easy shoal to rub. Even local fishing boats nuzzel up a few times each year. The current sets you out of the channel into a shoal that really does not look obvious - water looks ok.
Why in heaven's name did they try to go through the Passage?

Quick's is more usual for deep boats.
Jeez. Going to Newport most of the time people just go straight through Vineyard Sound. Even makes sense for New Bedford.
