Hello all,

As some of you may know we were stirred up somewhat in September when a Hurricane hit Bermuda. Unfortunately it was the death nell for my 26ft double ender as she broke her mooring chain and ended up on a very uncomprimising shoreline!

So, in an efffort to recoup some significant losses (wooden boats are near im possible to insure in Bermuda...) I am attempting to breathe some life into the old girls 2 cylinder 2000 series volvo. Trouble is, having removed the engine from the boat last week I know find that I cannot turn the engine over by hand (with crank). I dread to think that it may be seized but only 7 days ago it was easily turned and since then has been stored under cover. When I try turning the engine over the decompression lever is in the appropriate position...

I do not have the tools required to pull the injectors otherwise i would squirt something appropriate inot the cylinder heads. Does anyone have any ideas on how best investigate/resolve this problem?

I am beginning to think that it might be worth paying a professional (with the tools...) for an hour of his/her time just to let me know the extent of my problems.

On another note: anyone interested in a 1930's (ish) double diagonal mahogany, British built double ender with some big holes in her. Let me know soon as mounting boat yard fees could result in her being bulldozed and burnt in the next few days!! :(
