Greece and Turkey

I'm sailing from Corfu towards Marmaris in early September. I think we'll go through the Corinth canal. Anyone done this trip? Any recommendations. I have a long time to complete the trip (three weeks) . I'm fully crewed, crude and accrued.

I went through the Corinth canal in a ship - it looked to be a few yards narrower than the canal. I was amazed how the ship could be controlled to avoid hitting the walls. There are sheer vertical rock walls on each side much higher than the ship.
